Robotics Project Hub

Turn sensors into
moving systems.

Build reliable beginner robots by testing sensing, motor power and control logic independently before combining them.

ROBOTICS PATH

Build one subsystem at a time

Keep motor power and logic power requirements in mind, and check the specifications of the exact driver and motors you use.

01 · MOTOR DRIVER

DC Motor Control with L293D

A motor driver switches the motor current while controller pins provide the logic signals. Verify the driver's current and voltage limits before connecting a motor.

Test: motor supply, common ground, enable pin, direction pins and PWM output.

02 · MOTOR CONTROL GUIDE

Understand L293D and L298N

Review driver selection, wiring, PWM speed control and safety checks before assembling a robot.

03 · LINE FOLLOWING

Arduino Line Follower

Read each IR sensor independently first. Then map the sensor pattern to left, right, forward and stop behavior.

Test: sensor height, surface contrast, motor direction and turning behavior at low speed.

04 · AUTOMATION

Smart Dustbin

Use distance sensing to trigger a mechanism, but add sensible limits so noisy readings do not repeatedly activate the motor.

Ultrasonic Project Ideas

Plan the target distance, mounting angle and response time before choosing a distance-sensing project.

BUILD CHECKLIST

Before powering the robot

A short hardware checklist can save hours of debugging.

Power

Check polarity, battery condition and whether the supply can provide the motors' startup current. Do not power motors directly from microcontroller I/O pins.

Wiring

Check the pin map, secure motor terminals and common ground where required. Disconnect power before changing connections.

Software

Test one motor, one sensor and one behavior at a time. Log sensor readings and use low motor speed during initial tests.
